Opting out
If you wish to opt out of the NHS Pension Scheme but continue working in your NHS employment(s) you must complete the Opt Out form on PCSE Online. Please note this means you no longer have to complete the SD502 form.
Simply log into PCSE Online, select the GP Pensions tab and click the Opt Out option from the dashboard. Provide the date you want to opt out from and tick to confirm the instruction.
Opting back in to the NHS Pension scheme
If you decide that you want to rejoin the NHS Pension scheme, please ask your practice manager, or practice user with the appropriate role (GPP - Joiners & Leavers) to complete a Joiner form in PCSE Online.
This process will automatically opt you back into the NHS Pension scheme and pension contributions will be taken once more.
